Privacy Policy

TOK TAIWAN CO., LTD. (hereinafter referred to as “the Company”) attaches great importance on the protection of personal data and considers it a significant responsibility. In addition to strictly complying with the Personal Data Protection Act of the Republic of China (Taiwan), the Company manages and protects your personal data with a rigorous attitude and concrete actions. In accordance with legal requirements, the Company hereby informs you of the following:


1. Purpose and Categories of Personal Data Collection
The Company collects, processes, and uses personal data from customers, business partners, job applicants, etc., for the following purposes:
  • (1) To develop and provide better products, business operations, and services.
  • (2) To exercise rights or fulfill obligations under contractual agreements.
  • (3) To facilitate recruitment, selection, hiring, and other management activities.
  • (4) To fulfill other legal obligations.

The categories of personal data collected, processed, and used by the Company include:

  • (2) Employment information (e.g., employer, job title, working hours, workplace, employment period, etc.).

2. Duration, Recipients, Regions, and Method of Use
(1) Duration:
  • ・The duration necessary to fulfill the specific purpose of data collection.
  • ・The retention period required by relevant laws (e.g., Business Accounting Act) or necessary for business operations,whichever is longer.
  • ・The retention period specified in individual contracts.
(2) Recipients:
The Company and its branches, subsidiaries, and affiliated companies (including TOKYO OHKA KOGYO CO., LTD. and its group companies located in Japan, the United States, South Korea, China, Singapore, the Netherlands, Germany, etc.).
(3) Regions:
Domestic and overseas regions of the aforementioned recipients.
(4) Method:
Collection, processing, international transfer, and use in compliance with relevant personal data protection laws.

3. Personal Data Protection Management System
To implement appropriate security measures for the collected personal data, the Company will establish internal rules regarding personal data and take reasonable measures to prevent unauthorized access, alteration, destruction, leakage, or theft.

You have the legal right to request the following from the Company:
  • (1) Inquiry and review of your personal data.
  • (2) Request for a copy of your personal data.
  • (3) Addition to or correction of your personal data.
  • (4) Request to stop the collection, processing, or use of your personal data.
  • (5) Request to delete your personal data.
However, if the Company is required to perform duties or business operations, or is governed by other laws, it may decline your request.

5. Voluntary Provision of personal data
You may freely choose whether to provide your personal data. However, if you refuse to provide the necessary personal data, the Company may be unable to conduct necessary reviews and processes which may affect the provision of services and your related rights.
